What do I do when I have leftover bread slices... I make breadcrumbs out of them and at times when the mood prevails, bread pudding. What do I do when I have leftover, untouched cake slices (a very rare phenomenon in my house) I rusk them.
As I told you guys, I was left with cake slices when I baked the vegan mango loaf. The huss found it to be on the denser side and hence had only two slices, even I felt the same. And I didn't expect more than that from an eggless, butterless cake. So I sliced them up and made biscottis out of the whole lot... It was crunchy, sweet and perfect for our evening chaai.
Lets move on to me saying 7 things about me... Thats gonna be real tricky..
> I love talking and I can go nonstop for hours. While most people enjoy them thereare some, is the huss who gets annoyed when I do that.
> I am totally into baking these days and mostly bake our morning breakfast breads. How great is that!!!
> Am planning to take up a diploma course on baking and then go on for an internship with a pastry chef... Now I know thats too much but who cares... Dream big is my motto...
> I who truly loved my work in the past now totally detest it. The sole thought of leaving the kid behind and going to work is killing me.
> Learning to drive and rejoining the gym are my near future plans.
> Dr.Shepherd of Grey's Anatomy is my new found dream-guy. Let the huss not see this ;P.
> I love chocolates, who doesn't... but my thing is only for dark chocolate and I love trying new types of dark chocolate, the current favorite being Lindt 85% cocoa and intense orange. And I am now munching a block of 60% cocoa, extra dark, irresistibly smooth.
So thats something about me. Hope you liked it. Now to the passing ceremony. Its hard to pick 15 but that what the rule says...
